Electronic guitars had an enormous influence on modern music. It's hard to imagine rock und pop music without them. To make the sound of a guitar audible in the context of a band, acoustic guitars have been equipped with electromagnetic coils in the 30's of the last century. But even in 1948 Paul Bigsby presented the first electronic solidbody guitar. The principle of that initially construction hardly changed since that time.
